Kalanick Returns to the Table with Atoms: a16z Leads $1.7 Billion Uber Investment
Travis Kalanick, co-founder of Uber, has made a strong comeback through his robotics startup Atoms, securing a $1.7 billion investment led by a16z, with Bain Capital and Fifth Wall joining as investors, and Horowitz joining the board. More dramatically, Uber also participated in the investment, meaning Kalanick has once again partnered with the company he founded after being forced to leave in 2017 due to a sexual harassment scandal.
